People come to counselling at all different stages in their lives and for many different reasons. My role as a counsellor is not to advise or tell you what to do; my role is help you talk through what is bothering you and explore where this may be rooted and what may help.
Counselling provides a confidential space which is unique and powerful; it is time dedicated just for you.
I specialise in working with teenagers and young adults.
I strongly believe that we all have the answers we need, but recognise that at times we need some help to find them.
Teenagers and young adults, like all of us, can struggle when life becomes overwhelming. Counselling can help them to build resilience and confidence as they go in to adulthood.
My name is Kerry McGrath and I have been working as a counsellor for almost 5 years now. I have worked in school settings and across the charity sector supporting children, teenagers, and young adults.
I qualified with an MSc in Counselling Psychology, training in a Person Centred way and I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
